Vivo had one of its biggest releases in the month of April. After launching the all-new Vivo X Fold2, Vivo Pad 2 and Vivo X Flip, the brands are preparing for mid-range market updates. Today, a new Vivo S-series phone was spotted with 3C certification. The device in question has passed Chinese mandatory certification with model number v2285a. According to Tipster Digital Chat Station, the phone in question is the Vivo S17e and it charges at 80W. In related news, iQOO Neo 8 (v2301a) and 8 Pro (v2302a) also went through the 3C regulator with 80W fast charging.
Alleged Vivo S17e, S17 and S17 Pro specifications
Tipster digital chat station open Vivo S17 and S17 Pro will pack BOE OLED screens with a resolution of 1.5K. The Vivo S17 series will feature curved displays, and we expect the Vivo S17e to also retain this form factor. It looks like all three phones will pack the same 80W charging. As a reminder, this was the latest charging technology from Vivo. However, with the rise of 120W charging on flagships, the company is moving the technology to devices lower in the hierarchy. Anyway, don’t confuse the Vivo S series as standard mid-range phones, they are more likely to be described as “mid-range premium” phones.
Vivo S17 and S17 Pro will come with 50MP Sony IMX766 main cameras with OIS, and will also include a 12MP telephoto camera. We think the Vivo S17e will have a simpler setup with a wide and macro shooter. Vivo S17e will bring MediaTek Dimensity 7200 which is a really great chipset for the mid-range market. It features 4nm manufacturing and has ARMv9 cores. Higher models will likely bring Dimensity 8000 series chipset or any Snapdragon counterpart.
iQOO Neo8 Pro is coming soon
As we said before, iQOO Neo8 has also been spotted in 3C certification. The phone bears the model number “vivo V2302A” as well Back in AnTuTu listing. It features the all-new MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ which scored a high of 1,368,597 points.
Vivo has a lot of products to unveil in the next few months, and we’ll be watching that closely.
