Malang Posco Media – Vivo officially launched several teaser photos of its first clamshell folding smartphone, the Vivo X Flip, which will be arriving this April.
In the shared image, Chinese actress Wang Ziwen poses with the X Flip, revealing a large screen, dual cameras, and a purple version with an embossed diamond pattern.
As Engadget reported on Friday, this is one of three colors that will be offered, the other two being Black and Gold.
The images reveal a practically edge-to-edge front screen with slightly curved corners.
The black circle on the front houses the two cameras and the Zeiss logo, while the LED flash is on the right side of the phone.
The current smartphone trend is to have flat sides and look boxy, but the X Flip keeps it traditional with a slightly curved body on all four sides.
Although Vivo hasn’t provided details on dimensions, it’s estimated that the X Flip foldable screen measures 6.8 inches on the inside, which has the same diagonal as the Find N2 Flip and is slightly larger than the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Moto Razr 2022, but slightly more smaller than the Huawei P50 Pocket.
