VIVER begins the sale of artisanal kombucha in Granada within the “El Jamón” supermarket group

Living Kombuchaone of the largest Spanish producers of the healthy drink, has entered the supermarket group “the ham”, for the sale of its artisanal kombucha in 159 of its establishments located in different provinces of the Andalusian Community. Manufacturing is carried out at the Víver plant in Granada.

The Red Fruit, Lemon & Spirulina varieties will be sold and will be the exclusive kombucha brand for this distribution chain. In Granada there are 4 stores.

Viver Kombucha sells its product in 4,000 points of sale throughout Spain through El Corte Inglés, Carrefour, Aldi, Alcampo, Coviran, Coaliment, Masymas, Lupa, Novavenda, Eroski, Caprabo, Transgourmet Ibérica, Herbolarios Navarro, Grupo Upper, Todotodo Spar, Deza Calidad, Hiperber, BonÁrea and through the Horeca channel. Víver Kombucha is a food company, based in Granada, that produces and markets organic kombucha made in an artisanal way.

It was founded in May 2019 by Raúl Frutos and Fernando Martín. The factory has a production capacity of six million bottles per year with a forecast of reaching 60 million bottles, after signing a strategic alliance with AMC Global to export it to seventy centers in Europe.

Kombucha is already present in 60% of Spanish large-scale distribution. Spain has become the most dynamic kombucha market in Europa and Víver Kombucha is the brand with the highest growth on the market in 2023.

Artisanal kombucha

VIVER states that “the kombucha produced by Víver is made respecting fermentation times and always using organic ingredients of the highest quality. It does not contain preservatives, additives, or added sugars, and is distributed unpasteurized and unfiltered in glass containers, being thus respectful with the environment”.

Kombucha tea is a fermented drink that is made from four main ingredients: water, tea and sugar, which are fermented with a symbiosis of yeast and bacteria called scoby.

They assure that this drink not only contains the benefits of tea, but also provides the properties of fermented foods, with the benefits of antioxidants and probiotics that stimulate the diversity of intestinal bacteria and help digestion. It is a healthy alternative to sugary sodas and other alcoholic beverages.

El Ham Supermarkets

The group, founded in 1966 in Lepe (Huelva) by Francisco Díaz and Manuela Orta, is made up of three entities. Two of them dedicated to the food sector. The ham with 261 Supermarkets distributed between Huelva, Sevilla, Cadiz, Málaga, Córdoba and Granada. Cash Lepe (Cash & Carry) and management and administration center of the company, created as a logistics center for the distribution of merchandise to stores.
