The ‘Sun’ headline is simple and concise “Salvation”. “Ronnie to the rescue – again”, meanwhile the ‘Daily Mail’ rejoices and immediately gives CR7 a new nickname. The ‘Daily Telegraph’ is also at the feet of the 36-year-old Portuguese once again: “Long live Ronaldo”.

FC Barcelona fans had two reasons to be happy yesterday, Wednesday. First the top talent Ansu Fati extended – including the release clause over one billion euros – until 2027, then the Catalans celebrated their first Champions League victory of this season with a 1-0 win over Dynamo Kiev. So today you can find two headlines on the front pages of newspapers close to Barça. The ‘Sport’ is content sparingly and sums up the most important facts: “Extended”, it says to Fati and “Rescue” to the game. ‘Mundo Deportivo’ is mainly celebrating the long running time of the new working paper, but there is also space for a small comment on the Champions League appearance on the front page: “You are still alive”.

For a long time it looked pretty good for Benfica Lisbon yesterday evening, but as so often, FC Bayern simply shifted up a gear in the closing stages and ultimately won easily 4-0. “Downfall”That is why both ‘A Bola’ and ‘Record’ are headlines in their current editions.
