The head of Naftogaz announced three conditions that would guarantee the preservation of transit through Ukraine.
The head of NJSC Naftogaz Yuriy Vitrenko named the most realistic guarantees of maintaining transit through Ukraine. He wrote about this on Facebook following a meeting with Georg von Waldersee, the special representative of the German government on transit through Ukraine.
So, Vitrenko said that he sees the following guarantees:
-
– relocation of gas transmission points in existing Gazprom contracts, according to which gas now goes to Europe through Ukraine, to the RF-Ukraine border, so that European companies themselves would order gas transit through Ukraine until 2035;
-
– creation on the electronic platform of Gazpromexport a point for the supply of additional gas volumes at the border of the Russian Federation-Ukraine; again, so that European buyers of this gas can themselves order gas transit through Ukraine;
-
– unblocking access to the Ukrainian gas transportation system from the Russian Federation for other gas exporters to Europe, in particular from Central Asia.
“All of the above is not a whim of Ukraine,” added the head of the NAC.
According to him, this is the embodiment in practice of the European rules on compliance with “word and spirit”, which Germany and the United States recall in a joint statement on Nord Stream-2.
Earlier, the Ukrainian GTS Operator explained why Ukraine will keep gas transit.
The operator of the GTS will apply for the management of the SP-2
