Vitória is again leader of Série B! On the night of this Wednesday (19), Rubro-negro beat Sport by 2 to 1 and took a leap in the standings. The match was valid for the 18th round of Série B and played on Ilha do Retiro.
With the result away from home, Leão ends the round in first place, rising three places, with 34 points. Vila Nova, who were the leaders, were defeated in stoppage time by Ceará.
The next match will be against Chapecoense, on Monday (24), at Barradão.
THE GAME
The first half at Ilha do Retiro was marked by a studied start to the game and a balanced midfield, which made it difficult for the teams to create a play.
