25 cronies will participate this year in the parade of Vitoria-Gasteiz Carnival 2024. The Peña Euskobarca will have the fewest participants, with 152, while the Marianistas and Carmelitas will once again be the most numerous with 400 people. 400 is the limit imposed by the City Council precisely, although it only subsidizes a maximum of 300 people per troupe.
Here you can see the list of troupes and participants, published by BOTHA. There are two new features: Ikasbidea and Salburua, which debut in this edition. And the Centro Gallego falls compared to recent years, which will not be in the 2024 Carnival. In total there will be 7,076 comparseros, very close to the record of the 7,122 that paraded in 2020

The Carnival parades will take place on February 10 and 11, 2024. Most of the troupes have already revealed their themes, although others remain intrigued.
The costumes
Among the troupes that have already announced their themes is Santa Lucía, who will remember the mythical series The prince of Bel Air. Thus, the theme will be the Will Smith series that aired at noon on Antena 3 in the 90s.

Presentation of María will opt for Disney on its centenary, in this case with the help of Mulan. Meanwhile, Euskobarça has defined its theme: Monsters of Emotions. Vera Cruz, for her part, opts for Michael Jackson.
Zaranbiz and Iritsi Gara will cross the pond: Zaranbiz will take the maracas to dress as cuban rhythmwhile Iritsi Gara is committed to caribbean samba. Iturribero will debut as Alava potatoes.
Other troupes have even announced their costumes. This is the case of Dance and Enjoy (Arriaga) who opts for a very colorful suit with some windmills on her back. Sansomendi-Ali will opt for a cinematic classic: ‘May the Force be with you‘.
In Escolapios they play riddles and so far they have only shown a Ferris wheel. The Salbuteriak debutants also bet on magical nature.
