Brazilian Vitor Roque changed the personal photo on his Instagram account of him wearing a Barcelona shirt to a new photo in which he appears to be wearing the clothes of the Brazilian national team.
In addition, the player deleted the Barcelona username on his page, leaving only his wife’s name and a phrase in Brazilian language that reads: (Deus takes care of me!) (” God takes care of me!”).
The Brazilian player is close to completing his loan move to Spanish club Real Betis, who are yet to confirm the details of the deal with Barca.
Betis was not the only team interested in bringing in Rocky, as there were other options such as Sporting Lisbon, Porto from Portugal, or Everton from England, who wanted the player’s contract purchase.
But the 19-year-old Brazilian, who did not want to leave Barca, found the option of Betis more attractive, according to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.
In the 2023-2024 season, Roque participated in 14 matches, but he only played 319 minutes and scored only two goals. In the King’s Cup, he played an additional 34 minutes, spread over two games, without scoring another goal. He played no part in the Spanish Super Cup or the Champions League.
Roque joined Barcelona in the middle of the last season (2023-2024) from the Brazilian team Atletico Paranaense for 40 million euros.
