‘Vitesse misses out on first purchase: left back should cost one million euros’

Vitesse has a concrete interest in eighteen-year-old left-back Doron Leidner. Football International reports this. His club Hapoel Tel Aviv is not yet participating in a transfer.

Leidner is known as a great talent, who in the long term is expected to transfer to the national team of Israel. Several foreign clubs are interested, but according to VI, Hapoel Tel Aviv asks for the main prize: one million euros. That amount is three times higher than the transfer fee that Vitesse would have offered.

Vitesse is ‘shocked’ by the asking price and may withdraw from the battle for Leidner, because the difference between supply and demand is significant. However, the offensive set-up left back has more options. There is also interest from Spain and England.

After the arrival of technical director Johannes Spors and trainer Thomas Letsch, Vitesse has not yet made any purchases for next season. Bryan Linssen, Tim Matavz and Julian Lelieveld leave for free.
