Research on vitamin D is advancing and giving us hope of preventing, and even defeating, many diseases. In addition to the usual indications for this vitamin, many areas of health are concerned: diabetes, osteoporosis, eye and skin diseases, cancers, neurodegenerative diseases (Parkinson’s and probably Alzheimer’s). The author shows us the importance of this vitamin for patients and public health.
