People with vitamin D deficiency cited a study recently published by Professor Marcos Pereira of the Federal University of Bahia in Brazil in the latest issue of “Critical Reviews in Food Science and Nutrition,” an international journal in the field of food. In the case of Corona 19, it was recently revealed that the results of an investigation that worsened Corona 19 came out.
According to the study, a systematic literature review and meta-analysis was conducted to confirm the correlation with vitamin D in adult and elderly subjects with COVID-19, and vitamin D deficiency was not directly related to the likelihood of infection with COVID-19.
However, it was found that the proportion of patients with vitamin D deficiency was 64% higher in the severe corona19 group than in the mild patient group. Corona 19 patients with vitamin D deficiency have a much higher hospitalization rate and mortality rate than those without vitamin D deficiency. The research team revealed that there is a close correlation between vitamin D deficiency and the severity of Corona 19 disease.
