Everton’s Ukrainian left-back Vitaliy Mykolenko returned to the squad’s starting line-up for the fifteenth time in succession today. The Liverpool club play Bournemouth away.
Mikolenko suffered a head injury as early as 25 minutes into the game. For four minutes straight he received medical attention, but he still couldn’t continue the game. Already at 29 minutes he was replaced by Seamus Coleman.
In their first fourteen matches against Vitali this season, Everton have won three, drawn five and lost six. Only once did the Ukrainian not play the full 90 minutes – in the fourth round against Brentford.
