An Indian one Airplane with 147 passengers on board made an emergency landing at Frankfurt Airport due to a bomb threat on the way from Delhi Airport to London. The threat was made via platform X, a federal police spokesman said in the evening. It stated that a bomb had been planted on board the Vistara aircraft.
The pilot then asked German air traffic control for permission to land. This request was granted and the flight was diverted to Frankfurt, where the plane landed at 9:02 p.m. The passengers left the plane, which was then searched by police and explosives detection dogs, the spokesman said. A bomb was therefore not found and the plane was classified as safe. According to the police spokesman, the plane was able to take off again at 11:30 p.m.
At the beginning of September, a passenger plane from the same airline on its way to Germany was diverted to an airport in eastern Turkey because of a bomb threat written on toilet paper on board. The plane was traveling from Mumbai to Frankfurt.
