As reported by “Sport Bild”, PSG star Lionel Messi could be the next football star to be targeted by clubs from the Saudi Arabian league.
The rumors that Messi is being ensnared by the desert nation’s clubs are not new. It was already announced in January that Al-Hilal was said to be interested in the services of the PSG player. There they are said to want to offer him an annual salary of 300 million euros.
According to “Bild”, there could now be more evidence of Messi’s possible move to Saudi Arabia. The Argentinian world champion has been a tourism ambassador in Saudi Arabia since May last year. He should also travel there in March, as Tourism Minister Ahmed Al Khateeb writes on Twitter.
There he would also face his longtime rival Cristiano Ronaldo. This was recently provoked in a match with “Messi calls”.
Messi’s contract with Paris St. Germain expires at the end of the season. It is still unclear what will happen to him next. “Sport Bild” also brings a move to the USA to Major League Soccer into play.
I am happy to welcome our Tourism Ambassador and star Lionel Messi and his family and friends this month on his second visit to Saudi to enjoy our most beautiful tourism destinations, connect with our people and enjoy unique experiences! @VisitSaudi pic.twitter.com/GCpX6JLAVu
