His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, visited the “ADIPEC 2023” exhibition, which is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC). .

During his tour of the exhibition, His Highness inspected a number of participating local, regional and international pavilions, where he was briefed on the latest technologies and pioneering solutions that contribute to enhancing climate action efforts, through energy transformation and decarbonisation, and working to find appropriate solutions to the global challenges facing the energy sector.

His Highness listened to a brief explanation from the exhibitors about the most prominent projects and initiatives in the field of energy and the latest ideas and solutions related to its sustainability.

During this visit, His Highness was accompanied by the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and the President-designate of the Conference of the Parties (COP28), Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that “the UAE has made important strides in confronting the challenges of energy and climate change, through its strategies and investments in this field and the launch of clean and renewable energy projects, in addition to its contributions to putting forward ideas and initiatives that are compatible with development goals.” Sustainable,” His Highness pointed out the importance of concerted efforts of all concerned parties in the world to build a sustainable future that serves all of humanity.

His Highness praised the role of ADIPEC in supporting climate action efforts, as it has become a global platform for exchanging ideas and visions, and discussing the latest trends that contribute to finding appropriate solutions to build a more sustainable future in the energy sector.

This year’s ADIPEC edition includes four specialized zones aimed at facilitating cooperation between sectors and partnerships in the energy field to build a more sustainable future, which are: the Carbon Emissions Reduction Acceleration Zone, the Marine and Logistics Activities Zone, the Digitization Zone in the Energy Sector, and the Manufacturing Industries Exhibition and Conference. And manufacturing.

In addition, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President and CEO of the Japanese oil company “Inpex – Godco”, which specializes in developing oil fields, met with Takayuki Ueda.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in the field of energy security and support transformation efforts in the energy sector, in addition to opportunities to expand the scope of current partnerships, to accelerate efforts to find low-emission energy solutions.

The meeting was held during His Highness’s visit to the ADIPEC 2023 Conference and Exhibition. It is noteworthy that the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has established a strategic partnership since 1973 with the Japanese company “Inpex” working in the field of oil field development, which is the parent company of the Japanese oil company “JODCO”. It succeeded in obtaining a number of land and sea concession agreements in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Inpex was a founding partner in the Abu Dhabi Intercontinental Futures Exchange, which was launched in March 2021.

Strengthening global partnerships

The ADIPEC 2023 exhibition, which is being held this year under the slogan “Reducing emissions faster,” continues.
