Visibilia case, Santanché’s brother intercepted with the councilor under investigation: “It’s a mess, if the company goes bankrupt Daniela will have to resign”

“We must not make her fail, c…Even if she, as a minister, is a mess.” As Massimo Garnero, brother of Daniela Santanchèspoke on the phone, November 2, 2022, with Massimo Cipriani, advisor to the Visibilia board of directorsin an interception which is in the records of the investigation by the Milan prosecutor’s office, closed in recent days, for false accounting against the Minister of Tourism and 16 other people and three companies of the publishing group.

On November 2, 2022, the news emerged that the Milan prosecutors had requested judicial liquidation, i.e. the bankruptcy of Visibilia Editore, a company founded by the FdI senator and chaired by her until January 2022.

That afternoon of November 2nd Massimo Garnero (not under investigation) contacts Cipriani (under investigation), as stated in an information from the Economic and Financial Police Unit of the Gdf, and the latter tells him that “the bank will no longer give credit due to the liquidation request”. And he suggests that “the only solution is that Briatore (not investigated, ed.) receives as a pledge the shares of Twiga srl held – summarizes the Gdf – by the Honorable Santanchè through Immobiliare Dani srl, in order to channel the proceeds of the pledge into Visibilia Concessionaria srl”. So that the latter, then, ” pay the debts to Visibilia Editore in order to make it capable of paying the debt to the Treasury” and avoid bankruptcy.

Crac Visibilia, Santanché’s brother: “Dimitri Kunz will be under a train”

For Cipriani “there is no plan B” and Massimo Garnero “says that now that he is minister, the Honorable Santanchè will have to get rid of all his shares due to the conflict of interest”. And he adds: “And Dimitri (Kunzcompanion of the minister, ed.), he too will be under a train, because he is also inside Visibilia”. Cipriani: “Oh I know, like me, like Fiorella (sister of the senator, ed.)”. Garnero: “All 4! And it’s just that there… no, no we mustn’t make it fail”.”. And Cipriani then “underlines how it would be a disaster for a minister not to pay taxes to the State. In case of failure, he will have to resign”.

The conversation was intercepted on Cipriani’s account and in the phone call the prosecutors’ bankruptcy petition is discussed, which will then be withdrawn by the Prosecutor’s Office itself. Visibilia Editore is now under judicial administration and in a negotiated settlement of the crisis.

In a passage of the phone call, Massimo Garnero asks councilor Cipriani if ”the bank loan will be granted” and the latter “confirms – we read in the Fiamme Gialle note – that 500 thousand euros would be lent to him, so as to be able to start repaying part of the loan to Briatore”. And Garnero “also recalls that, in 2024, the Hon. Santanchè should collect a sum”.

In the information dated 9 November 2022, which contains a series of wiretaps, the Gdf also specifies that “conversations between some of the suspects” and the senator were captured and these, however, “were not transcribed, even when the aforementioned minister took part indirectly in the conversations”. And this is because he was and is a parliamentarian.

Visibilia case, Santanchè’s partner Dimitri Kunz: “I’m looking for a million for debts”

With the request from the Milan Prosecutor’s Office for judicial liquidation against Visibilia Editore due to the “registered debts amounting to (…) 984 thousand” euros, Dimitri Kunz, the partner of Daniela Santanchè, founder of the same group in the sector of publishing and advertising and from which she left in January 2022, on the phone with an accountant “she explains that she is trying to find the million euros needed to pay by November 30” and that “if she gives the money to Santanchè they will break his the boxes, because they could accuse him of “illicit financing” of political parties.

The conversation between the two dates back to 31 October 2 years ago and is also in the investigation documents. In those days, as can be read in the note on the yellow flames, the bankruptcy of the publisher, which was indebted to the tax authorities, had been proposed “with the date of notification of the first tax assessments starting from 2018”.

The professional explains his point of view and when he adds that “the prerequisite for insolvency is the lack of willingness to pay the installments”, Kunz explains his plan to “find the million” saying that he “intends to buy the 5 % of the Dani real estate company and get the money to Visibilia Editore as shareholder financing (through the concessionaire Visibilia, ed.)”. The accountant, however, objects that the problem he “has today with Visibilia Editore spa, he will have tomorrow with Visibilia Concessionaria srl”. The two continue in an attempt to find a solution and when the accountant then suggests that Kunz give the money to the Hon. illicit financing”.
