There are several techniques with which scammers are able to empty your current account in a few simple steps. One of these is Vishing.
Vishing is a scam that consists in hooking up a victim by telephone, through a toll-free number associated with a credit institution, making him believe, from fake operator of the bank, to have found some anomaly and in order to fix the situation must necessarily communicate the access codes to the current account.
The account holder, by communicating his codes, gives free access to the scammer.
Vishing uses another technique, namely, the “spoofing”, Which allows you to simulate a telephone number so that you can pass yourself off as other people or physical entities, such as the bank.
The victim, seeing the toll-free number of the bank, is very easy to fall into the trap by giving the scammer all the necessary data to access his current account.
Attention, customer service numbers, unless prompted by you, NEVER call.
