At some point in our conversation, I said to Lottie aka Visa Vie that her biography reads as if it were divided into different eras like Taylor Swift: Lottie’s youth was free and wild and characterized by acting. In the 20s she immersed herself in the world of German rap and became the best-known and most influential journalist in the scene. And in her 30s she discovered podcasts. With formats such as “The Very Last Interview”, “Weird Crimes” and, most recently, “Plot House”, Lottie is one of the pioneers of the true crime genre in Germany.

I was all the more surprised when she told me that she can no longer deal with crime stories very well. I really didn’t expect that from one of the biggest true crime stars! Anyway, Lottie surprised me a few times. What some of her listeners don’t even realize is that Lottie is seriously ill. In 2021, just four weeks after her wedding, she got Corona. To this day she suffers from Long Covid and several secondary illnesses that limit her enormously in everyday life. What dreams she and her husband had on their wedding day were shattered as a result? The answer to this question really touched me.

But don’t worry, this won’t be a complete downer episode. For example, you can also expect a fast-paced throwback to the television shows of our childhood and youth. I just say: “HAAAAAALT STOP!”

So here comes a good hour with Lottie.
