This morning, the National Civil Police (PNC) handed over “Viruta”, the mare that was roaming the streets of San Salvador to its owner on January 22.
The owner was identified as Don Rafael, to whom the mare was given in the municipality of Nejapa, after it escaped from its habitat.
In addition, the PNC reported that the operational and administrative personnel of the Mounted Police were taking care of the mare and healing its wounds.
Police authorities said that after being delivered to his owner, “Viruta” had an emotional meeting with his mother, whose name is Capulina.
“This action is part of the mission we have to take care of Salvadorans and their property,” the Police commented on their social networks.
