Peter Filzmaier is “journalistically no longer viable” after a “virus” -sager, the Strache vehicle states for the Vienna election.
Breathing in with the HC Strache team according to an assessment by political scientist Peter Filzmaier on the Styrian election on Sunday. “With his unbelievable derailment, according to which HC Strache and his team are a virus, the (paid) political chief commentator of the ORF, Prof. Peter Filzmaier, probably reached a new low point in his commentary on the Styrian municipal council election,” said HC General Secretary Christian Höbart in a broadcast. “Inexcusable derailment on ORF” wrote Strache himself on Facebook.
But what had happened? The political expert had explained the municipal council election in Styria in an ORF interview. “In crisis situations, incumbents are strengthened,” said Filzmaier. “The electoral losers shouldn’t make it so easy to explain everything with Corona. The FPÖ has had a virus problem called Heinz-Christian Strache since May last year.”

“The dehumanization of the political opponent itself is already a dangerous step in the direction of physical violence, as we unfortunately had to experience in Vienna in the past few days,” said Höbart. “Describing someone as a ‘virus’ means fighting them and ultimately wanting to destroy them.”
Filzmaier uses a “despicable demonization” of the person Strache. “We immediately ask for a public apology,” Höbart says.
