Virtuos Games is not working on a Metal Gear Solid project ?! [VIDEO]

There is mounting evidence to support the rumor that Virtuos, an international multi-studio team, is working on a Metal Gear Solid project.

Next the voice gets louder, the Virtuos international development studio is working on a Metal Gear Solid game. Konami has been in the news lately for licensing several major properties to a surprising number of game studios. These include several major Silent Hill games currently in development. Also a remaster of the first two Suikoden games. Metal Gear Solid is another obvious option for Konami and it may already have happened.

There have been several reports recently that Virtuos may be working on a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snakeater for Konami.

Notably, a studio programmer has listed an unannounced remake of a AAA-quality cross-platform action-adventure game in development. VGC also reported that editorial sources have confirmed that Virtuous’s project is a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3. Long story short, this one has been in focus for some time.

The latest evidence that Virtuos is working on a Metal Gear Solid game comes from a “Day in the Life at Virtuos Montreal” video marketing the Montreal office to potential new hires. In one part of the video, concept designer Louis-Alex Boismenu comments on the events. Below the shot is a book called The Art of Metal Gear Solid. It is just a book in itself. But with the other proof that a Metal Gear Solid project is in the works, it’s hard to ignore it.

Of course, they won’t announce a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 until it’s finished, if they’re actually working on it.

But there is no denying that if the project were announced, it would result in more candidates and even higher-level candidates. Metal Gear Solid 3 targeting can prove to be a smart decision in this situation.

It could also be suggested that Virtuos isn’t working on a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 at all. However, they too had heard the rumors. This could be a way to increase recruitment. Although the project Virtuos is working on is something completely different. Or, of course, it could also be that this Virtuos concept artist is simply a fan of Metal Gear Solid, and there’s no need to dig into that.

If an MGS game is in development at Virtuos or elsewhere, it is only a matter of time before it is officially announced. If Konami is willing to license the Silent Hill franchise, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them license Metal Gear Solid as well, given the franchise’s success.
