Virtual Queue: How to Buy Tickets for the Song Festival Online?

IN SHORT:

Virtual queue – what does it mean?

Taking into account the experience of previous holidays, a virtual queue will be introduced for the sale of holiday tickets on the Internet.

The virtual queue means that when the sale starts, every buyer who is on the “Biļešu paradīze” website at that moment is assigned a queue number, and the purchase of tickets can be started, waiting for their turn.

Jānis Ķuzulis, chairman of the board of “Biļešu paradīzes”, explained to LTV “Rīta Panorāmā”:

“No one has to do anything special. The only step to be taken is to come to the “Ticket Paradise” page shortly before 10:00 AM.

It will be quite enough if it is 9.50 or 9.45 – you will enter the “Ticket Paradise” page, the ticket “waiting room” will welcome you. All users will be exactly the same. No one will have any advantage in relation to how early he has come. Therefore, it is not necessary to come to “Bilešu Paradis” neither today nor on Sunday evening. We enter shortly before the trade, and there everything will be said and written in advance, there should not be any misunderstandings, difficulties.”

Virtual waiting room – the view that the user will see when visiting the “Biļešu paradīze” website before the start of ticket sales.

“Each buyer will see his or her queue number, how many buyers are still ahead and a dynamically changing time, which is the computer’s forecast, how long it might take until the buyer himself gets to the system to buy tickets. Here, however, it should be taken into account that it is very much depends on how fast the buyers themselves act,” explained Ķuzulis.

The user must be sure of his Internet connection – in case it breaks, he will have to enter the virtual queue again. Kuzulis also bit:

“The main wisdom is to enter the page and do nothing – don’t leave, don’t click a hundred times, it makes no sense, because the page will be renewed automatically, there will be no benefits from clicking it.”
