The 30th Annual General Meeting of VIENNA INSURANCE GROUP AG Wiener Versicherung Gruppe was held virtually on May 21, 2021. It was broadcast in full on the Internet in German, English and Czech from 11:00 a.m. (CEST).
Dividend decided
The Annual General Meeting approved the motion of the Management Board and the Supervisory Board of the Vienna Insurance Group and approved a dividend of EUR 0.75 per share. This corresponds to a payout ratio of 41.5% of profit after taxes and non-controlling interests. The dividend yield is 3.6%.
The ex-dividend date is May 25, 2021, the record date (dividend record date) is May 26, 2021 and the dividend payment date is May 27, 2021.
CEO Elisabeth Stadler gave the Annual General Meeting a review of the solid 2020 financial year, in which the VIG Group once again generated an increase in premiums and more than 10 billion euros in premiums despite the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic. She also presented the main features of “VIG 25”, the Group’s new strategy program from 2021 to 2025. The number of Supervisory Board members increases from 10 to 12 members
The statutory maximum number of members on the Supervisory Board of the Vienna Insurance Group has been increased from the previous ten to twelve people through an amendment to the articles of association. Two new members were elected to the Vienna Insurance Group’s Supervisory Board for the first time: Ms. Zsuzsanna Eifert and Mr. Robert Lasshofer. Your appointment takes effect from the entry of the amendment to the articles of association according to agenda item 12 of the general meeting in the commercial register.
Zsuzsanna Eifert and Robert Lasshofer new members of the supervisory board
The 42-year-old Zsuzsanna Eifert completed her studies in finance and accounting in Budapest and has many years of experience in the telecommunications sector in Central and Eastern Europe. The Hungarian is currently Head of Internal Audit at the Hungarian Telecom subsidiary Magyar Telekom Group. At T-Mobile Austria, she is responsible for internal auditing as well as risk management and internal controls. Previously, she worked in these functions for T-Mobile CZ and Slovak Telekom, which also belong to Deutsche Telekom AG. From 2008 – 2011 Zsuzsanna Eifert was CFO of the telecommunications company Invitel International Group.
The 63-year-old Mag. Robert Lasshofer has decades of top experience in the insurance industry. Born in Vienna, he is currently General Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Wiener Städtische Wechselseitiger Versicherungsverein – Vermögensverwaltung – Vienna Insurance Group. Until the end of 2020 he was General Director and Chairman of the Board of Management of Wiener Städtische Versicherung. The graduate economist is also the current president of the Association of Insurance Companies in Austria (VVO) and sits on the supervisory boards of AT & S Austria Technologie & Systemtechnik Aktiengesellschaft, Erste Asset Management GmbH and Österreichische Verkehrsbüro AG.
The supervisory board mandates of Ms. Eifert and Mr. Lasshofer at the Vienna Insurance Group run until the end of the annual general meeting in 2024. The proportion of women on the VIG supervisory board thus increases to 41.7%.
