Sega has announced a new game in its Virtua Fighter series, but it’s a release that will likely leave most fans confused and questioning the series’ plans for this franchise.
Virtua Fighter 3tb Online is the latest version of the game originally released in 1997 for Japanese arcades and as the name suggests, you will have 3v3 online “Team Battles”.
With the new features and adjustments created for the previous version of Virtua Fighter 3, this new version for Japanese arcades will use technology from Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown to allow players across Japan to play against each other.
In this way, we have Sega announcing new efforts in the Virtua Fighter series, but instead of satisfying fans around the world, the company chooses to launch something that, for now, will only be within the reach of a few.
Virtua Fighter 3tb Online will arrive in Japan on November 28th.
