The company was informed that in the second half of 2021, “Virši-A” plans to raise capital and start quoting shares in the alternative market “First North”, making an initial public offering.
Representatives of “Virši” pointed out that the initial public offering of shares and the inclusion of shares in “First North” is part of the company’s growth strategy for the coming years with the aim of attracting resources to further increase the growth rate.
The company explained that the primary offer will be aimed at private investors from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia who want to become shareholders of the company and participate in the future development of the company.
In order to inform potential investors about the news in the company, the section “www.virsi.lv/investoriem” has been created on the “Virši” website.
Representatives of “Virši” explained that the company’s growth plans for the coming years envisage further expansion of geographical coverage and investments in infrastructure, opening new and modernizing existing fuel and alternative energy filling stations both in Riga and the regions of Latvia. The new strategy also includes a significant expansion of new products and services for customers and cooperation partners, especially by developing the offer of alternative energy sources and promoting their availability in Latvia.
According to preliminary data, the turnover of “Virši-A” in 2020 was 171.4 million euros, while the company’s profit was 5.1 million euros.
At present, the owners of “Virši-A” are Jānis Riekstiņš, Ruta Plūme, Jānis Rušmanis, Andris Priedītis and Ilgvars Zuzulis, including according to the published minutes of the February 2020 shareholders’ meeting – 23.6%, but Priedītis and Zuzulis owned 14.5% of shares.
