Virši-A Invests 200,000 Euros in App Development for Fuel Payment and Loyalty Programs

Energy resource trader AS “Virši-A” has invested 200,000 euros in the development of a mobile app and related information technology (IT) infrastructure, LETA agency was informed by company representatives.

The company states that the app will help drivers save time and pay for fuel immediately at the pump at any filling station throughout the network. The new app will include all the benefits of business, personal and shareholder loyalty programs and will also provide special offers to app users.

Currently, the app provides basic functionality, which is planned to be supplemented with new solutions in the near future, informs Mārtiņš Eihmanis, head of the Marketing and Communication Department of “Virši-A”.

“Virši-A” mobile app is available for Android and iOS users.

It has already been announced that the audited turnover of the “Virši-A” concern last year was 375.11 million euros, which is 69.8% more than in 2021, but the profit of the concern increased by 56.7% – to 10.37 million euros . At the same time, “Virši-A” itself worked with a turnover of 350.827 million euros last year, which is 59% more than in 2021, while the company’s profit increased by 0.7% and was 5.449 million euros.

The “Virši-A” concern includes the parent company “Virši-A”, SIA “Viršu nekustamie espasumi”, SIA “Virši logistika” and SIA “Virši Renergy”.

The company’s largest shareholders are Jānis Riekstiņš (21.05%), Jānis Rušmanis (20.88%), Ruta Plūme (20.85%), Andris Priedītis (12.83%) and Ilgvars Zuzulis (12.81%). Since November 11, 2021, the company’s shares have been included in the “First North” alternative market of “Nasdaq Riga”.
