Virginia Navarro she has been elected president of the Association of Ship Consignees and Stevedores of the Port of Bilbao (ACBE) and thus becomes the first woman to lead this entity in its 98-year history.
Navarro, regional director of Containerships-CMA CGM SAU in Bilbao and Ferrol, has been elected president of ACBE, to replace Carlos Lobato, at the meeting of the Board of Directors held this Monday in which its composition has also been renewed.
Previously, the General Meeting was held in which the accounts for the past year and the budgets for 2020 were approved, as reported in a statement by the Association of Shipping Agents and Stevedores of the Port of Bilbao.
The new president of this association, the first woman to lead the association in its 98-year history and in which she has had twenty-four predecessors, She has a law degree from the University of the Basque Country and a master in Port Maritime Business Management from the University of Deusto.
