Fátima del Valle Ocampo, Caps Apolo nurse, has been awarded the Virginia Henderson Award to the “Outstanding Nurse in Primary, Community and Social Care”, in the 4th edition of the awards that recognize the work of nurses in Argentina.
The 2024 awards ceremony was held in Mar del Plata, within the framework of the 5th Argentine Congress of Nursing in Critical Care in Neonatology, Pediatrics and Adults, with the aim of valuing the work of nursing professionals from all over the country and raise awareness of the importance and impact of the nursing role in society.
Nominations for the awards are made by nurses and co-workers, who recognize the dedication and commitment of another colleague.
Fátima was the only nurse from Catamarca, awarded in the “Primary, Community and Social Care” category, and it is the first time that a nurse from the Province receives this recognition.
In this regard, he expressed his joy at “being able to represent the Province and make known the work we do every day and, through it, encourage colleagues to continue improving themselves in pursuit of integrated, equitable and timely attention to the community. I hope it is the beginning of more awards for colleagues who work hard, especially in inhospitable areas of our province.”
