The Virée Nordique de Charlevoix Triathlon will receive $5,000 donated by Promutuel Assurance du Lac au Fleuve. The event was voted the favorite in the area.
This friendly competition will welcome almost 600 young Charlevoisians, from the 4e primary year to 5e year of high school. Participants are invited to form teams to finish, in relay races, skating, cross-country skiing and snowshoe races.
It helps to encourage young people to practice their sport once a week to prepare to take part in the event which will be held in the middle of February. Promutuel Assurance du Lac au Fleuve believes that triathlon helps to establish discipline, toughness and perseverance in all participants.
The 7e An edition of the campaign “At the heart of your community” will allow Promutuel Assurance du Lac au Fleuve to pay almost $300,000 to 67 community organizations to carry out projects
carriers for the communities located on its land. For Charlevoix, nine organizations will receive a total of nearly $44,950.
“Our commitment to communities is at the heart of our mission. Together we have the power to make a difference. With the project “At the heart of your community”, we support organizations that promote a strong and necessary social structure,” said the president of the board of directors, Martine Thériault, in a press release.
