Melbourne: Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, who produced a brilliant batting performance in the T20 World Cup, was named ICC player of the month for October. This is the first time that Kohli has been nominated for this award.
Kohli beat David Miller of South Africa and Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe to win the award.
In October, Kohli played four excellent innings and scored 205 points. Among them, the inning that led India to victory over Pakistan in the T20 World Cup attracted a lot of attention. Kohli scored 82 points out of 53 balls to lead India to victory when he was 31 out of four in one stage.
