The rainstorm didn’t stop the couple from getting married. They are willing to brave floods in order to be able to say their sacred vows, and even get married in a church that is flooded with water.
Dianne Victoriano shared her experience of getting married in the middle of a flood, after being hit by a typhoon for days in the area where she lives in Malolos City, Philippines. Dianne and her partner insisted on going through with the blessing even though the weather was unfavorable.
This dramatic moment was recorded by the camera of Maria Jasmine, Dianne’s sister, and shared via her Facebook account. The video immediately went viral and was viewed more than 190 thousand times.

In the video, Dianne is seen in a white dress walking towards the altar while carrying a bouquet of flowers. You can also see the floor of the church which was inundated at the ankle level of an adult.
The groom-to-be was seen capturing the moment of his future wife who kept smiling even though the dress she was wearing was wet. He himself still wears a suit complete with black loafers.

“We decided to go ahead with the ceremony no matter what. It doesn’t matter if the guests refuse to come because of the situation. The most important thing is that we want to get married, we are both there, and our families are with us,” Dianne told the Independent.
Typhoon Doksuri, also known as Super Typhoon Egay in the Philippines hit the country on 19 July 2023, causing the deaths of at least 8 people. According to a report by Al Jazeera, the typhoon came with strong winds and heavy rain, before making its way to China after the Philippines.
