BEKASI, KOMPAS.com – The police are hunting for two robber who failed to act after being confronted by a female victim Bekasi, Sunday (26/7/2020) dawn.

The victim with the initials DWM (33) succeeded in capturing the offense of the perpetrator when he became a victim of harshness in Pondok Ungu Permai Housing Sector V RW 025, Bahagia Village, Babelan District, Bekasi Regency, at 02.45 WIB.

The DWM fight was captured by CCTV cameras around the location, then the video was viral on social media.

“Because the case is viral we will try (search), investigate for further investigation of the case,” said Babelan Police Chief Commissioner Ramses Sitinjak when contacted on Wednesday (07/29/2020).

Ramses said, DWM is a motorcycle taxi driver online. At that time he wanted to find an address to take a consumer package.

However, when DWM searched for an address, his cellphone was about to be snatched by a begal who at that time was carrying sickles.

Not giving up, the victim fought until the perpetrator fled.

Ramses said, DWM did not make a police report on the case that happened to him. DWM reasoned that he was not injured and did not lose goods.

“The condition of her mother is healthy, because she feels healthy, so mothers do not want to make a report,” he said.

Nevertheless, the police continued to hunt down the perpetrators. At present the evidence for sickles and CCTV recordings has been secured.

“We will also patrol to find the perpetrators,” he said.

Previously, video of the victim’s viral resistance action on social media since Tuesday (07/28/2020) night.

In the video uploaded on a number of Instagram accounts, it appears that initially two begons riding a motorcycle wanted to seize the bag belonging to the victim who was riding a motorcycle.

The victim appeared to wrestle with one of the perpetrators to take his bag back. In fact, he managed to seize the sickles used by the perpetrators to frighten him.

After failing, the bolt immediately ran away using the motor. Soon, residents came to help the victims.
