Viral, Video Says Jakarta Was Hit by Chemtrail at Midnight, This is what the Indonesian Air Force said

KOMPAS.com – A 15-second video showing a white line extending across the sky, went viral on social media, Tuesday (15/2/2022).

The account owner then wrote a narrative that Jakarta had been attacked chemtrail on February 14th at 01.00 am.

“Jakarta was hit by the Chemtrail on February 14 at 1 pm. Stay safe for the citizens of Jakarta, please pray for all of those involved to receive their punishment quickly,” that’s the narrative written in the caption of the viral video on Twitter.

As of Wednesday (16/2/2022) morning, the video has been viewed more than 900 times, shared 25 times, and liked 58 times by netizens on Twitter.

Are the claims in the video true?

Regarding this claim, the Indonesian Air Force (TNI)TNI AU) asserts that the Jakarta narrative is under attack chemtrail is a hoax.

“Hoax, Mas,” said the Head of the Indonesian Air Force Information Service (Kadispenau) Marsma TNI Indan Gilang Buldansyah, when confirmed Kompas.com, Wednesday (16/2/2022) morning.

Indan said the white lines in the video were traces of airplane condensation.

“This white trail phenomenon is known as airplane condensation trail or condensation trail (contrails),” kata Indan.

He explained, condensation trail is the result of condensation of air with a high moisture content rubbing against aircraft engines.

Condensation trailcontinued Indan, some call it vapor trails. However, when the white line glows or expands like a cloud, it is called aviaticus cloud.

The aircraft is monitored for its position, type and mission

Indan said, for certain purposes, there were indeed several flight missions carrying chemicals.

“An example of the TMC mission, the plane carrying NaCl was spread in a cloudy area for the purpose of accelerating the occurrence of rain,” he explained.

In addition, there are aircraft that carry chemicals to extinguish fires in an area.

There are also planes that carry fertilizers or chemical pesticides to stop pests from attacking agricultural or plantation areas.

Indan emphasized that every aircraft flying in Indonesian airspace would be monitored for its position, type and mission.

“Both by AirNav and by Koopsudnas (National Air Operations Command) through our hanud (air defense) radar. So we can confirm it is a hoax,” he said.
