A video featuring the birds are falling on the ground in a wet state viral on social media. The incident occurred at the Banjar Sema cemetery, Pering Village, Blahbatuh District, Gianyar Regency, Bali.
The video was recorded by Kadek Sutika at around 08.00 WITA. After recording the video, he immediately uploaded it to Facebook, which went viral a few minutes later.
“Yes, at first I recorded it, after that I immediately uploaded it on FB. It was a little over 8 hours (it was already viral). It didn’t arrive until 08.30, at around 08.15 it felt like it had gone viral,” said Sutika when contacted detik.com, Thursday (9/9/2021) night.
Sutika said she found the fallen birds when she returned from her friend’s house.
“Initially that morning I wanted to just go to work and it was raining. (Because it was raining) I first looked for my friend who didn’t take me to work. But my friend said I didn’t work because it was raining,” he explained.
After deciding not to work with her friend, Sutika wanted to go straight home. But when he came home, he saw the children were picking up the birds in the grave.
“(When I got home) I looked at the cemetery. I saw children taking the bird. I looked at the graveyard, I saw that there were many birds under the tree, some were dead, some were still alive,” he said.
According to Sutika, the birds that fell to the ground were under the tamarind tree in the Banjar Sema cemetery. At first the birds slept in the trees.
“Initially, the birds often slept on the tamarind tree. There were many birds there, but only five days ago the birds were not there. Two there were tamarind trees there. Twin tamarind tastes like that,” he said.
