Delhi: Surabhi is an actress who won the National Award for Best Actress in 2017 with the film Minnaminung. While Surabhi won the National Award for Best Actress for Malayalam, Akshay Kumar was chosen as the Best Actor. A video recently went viral in which Hindi superstar Akshay Kumar talks about his experience of going to collect the National Award that day.
This is what Akshay says in the viral video, A girl was sitting next to me during the National Award ceremony. The girl who said that she is your big fan asked me sir how many films have you done so far as I was standing proudly after winning the national award. I said 135.
I also asked that girl how much is your picture. The reply was, Sir, this is my first film. Akshay asked the actress who had won the National Award in her first film and who had come to buy it.
This actress is Surabhi. At the bottom of the viral video, Surabhi herself replies, ‘Your words make me happy. Glad to know he still remembers that conversation. I consider those words an honor. It was a few good moments to spend with a favorite actor. Surabhi wrote that ‘Minnaminung’ was the first film in which I acted as the heroine.
Akshay Kumar won the National Award for Best Actor in 2017 for his performance in the film Rustom.
