Viral, Ukrainian Forces Torture Russian Prisoners of War

KYIV – Team action Ukraine torturing soldiers Russia who became a prisoner of war went viral after the video footage of the incident was uploaded on social media. Moscow is investigating the torture video.

“Circulating video online shows the soldiers, who were captured, shot in the leg, with medical assistance,” Russia’s State Investigative Committee said in a statement.

The head of the Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, has ordered investigators to fix all the circumstances of the incident.

“Collect and record evidence and identify all those involved in it to then bring them to justice,” the order reads, as quoted Russia Today, Monday (28/3/2022).

While it is not yet clear where or when the disturbing video was taken, some media reports suggest the incident took place at a military complex located in the Kharkiv region of eastern Ukraine, which is used by nationalist units.

Several disturbing videos, which appear to have been filmed at the same facility, have emerged online over the weekend. The videos of the torture were so vivid that the Russian media refused to share them.

The footage shows several people, what appears to be Russian soldiers taken prisoner of war, lying on the ground. All of the soldiers looked badly beaten and had leg wounds.

The wounded soldiers were interrogated by gunmen, many of them wearing the blue armbands commonly used by Ukrainian units.
