Video the birds in a wet state fell on the ground viral on social media (medsos). The video shared by a number of accounts is said to have taken place in Bali.
In the video circulating, it looks like so many birds are falling to the ground. The bird is called a sparrow.
Many of these birds also fell and gathered under trees. There were a number of birds that were still moving, jumping but could not fly.
The video recorder can be heard mentioning that the incident took place in a cemetery this morning. The incident is said to have occurred in Gianyar Regency, Bali, after the rain.
The exact location and time of the incident is not yet known.
BKSDA Bali Response
Natural Resources Conservation Center (BKSDA) Bali claimed to have not received a report related to the incident. It is suspected that this phenomenon is influenced by acid rain.
“If we talk about conditions and natural events, it can be said that when it rains it may contain quite high acid,” said the Head of the Bali BKSDA Administration Sub-Section, Prawona Meruanto, when asked for confirmation, Thursday (9/9/2021).
“So it could cause birds to fall like that. Or maybe with other reasons that we didn’t know before,” he added.
He said officer BKSDA Bali will see the conditions and conditions that occur in the field. Antok admitted that it was the first time he had encountered an incident like this.
“As far as I know, this is the first time this has happened. So it’s a strange thing to see the condition of the birds like that. It means that we don’t know they fell, we also don’t know. This is the first thing I know about,” he said.
