PEOPLE’S MIND – In the midst of the spread monkey pox and pandemic Covid-19 unfinished business, Australia is also shocked by a mysterious disease called Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS).
Reportedly, the disease is thought to cause hundreds of people to die every year in the state of Victoria, Australia.
SADS in adults suddenly went viral after a 31-year-old woman died while sleeping.
SADS is also often referred to as sudden arrhythmic death syndrome, which refers to heart rhythm disturbances as the cause of death.
Australians under the age of 40 who died reported suffering from SADS, even though they had no previous history of chronic disease.
Some people only realize that they have SADS after having a heart attack.
According to the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), SADS is the primary diagnosis when an autopsy cannot find other causes of death.
