A lawyer in Malaysia shares the story of a father who marries his own daughter. What is the viral story like?
A Facebook user by the name of Nur Fatihah Azzahra shared the horrific story through a lengthy article which was uploaded to her social media on June 22, 2021. Nur Fatihah is the founder of the attorney office of Wali Azri & Associates in Selangor, Malaysia.
In her upload, Nur Fatihah admitted to getting an unusual and sad case during the lockdown period which was again in effect in Malaysia. He found the case of the father marrying his own daughter was being brought to trial.
Nur Fatihah wrote in his upload that the story of the father marrying his own son began when the man divorced from his wife. The husband and wife divorced after the husband had sex with his own child until the daughter became pregnant.
For the sake of the daughter who was pregnant, they were divorced. The mother did not want to see her grandson born without a father. As a result, she gave up her husband, who was actually the baby’s grandfather, to be the husband of her child.
“The father married the daughter using the services of a marriage syndicate, run by a foreigner in Malaysia,” wrote Nur Fatihah Azzahra in her upload which has so far been re -posted more than 20,000 times and received more than 4,000 comments on Facebook.
He revealed that after the divorce, the father married his own biological child with the help of a foreign national who was involved in an illegal marriage syndicate. After the marriage, the baby was born and problems arose. When the baby’s birth certificate was taken care of, the court did not pass it because it was related to the name of the bin or bint that must be embedded in the letter.
“Birth registration matters are to be managed but not approved by the NRD. They were informed to consult the Syariah Court, re -determine the lineage of the child,” wrote Nur Fatihah Azzahra.
When she found out that her son could not get a birth certificate, the mother vented. He was confused why the name of his father who is now her husband could not be written on their baby’s birth certificate.
“Why can’t my son (baby) register his birth in the name of his husband (biological father) when we’re married?” so the mother’s words were rewritten by Nur Fatihah Azzahra on Facebook.
Nur Fatihah Azzahra admitted to revealing this sad story to social media as a warning to others that the world is getting crazy. He, as a Muslim, also reminded his fellow Muslims that in Islam it is forbidden for a father to marry his own biological child.
That’s why through his upload he wants to remind parents to always set a good example for their children.
“It’s like this, who do we want to blame? Blame the biological father for failing to guide the family or the biological mother for not educating the children? Isn’t this marriage a shared responsibility?” he wrote.
