Viral ‘Required Vaccine Certificate’ in PIM, for Employees or Visitors?

Viral on social media was an announcement at Pondok Indah Mall that said it was mandatory to show vaccine certificate if you want to enter the shopping center.

“As of August 3, for visitors who will enter Pondok Indah Mall must bring and show a COVID-19 vaccine certificate,” the announcement read.

Search detik.com in the PIM 2 area, an employee of one of the tenant said the obligation is only for the employees and vendors who work there. As for visitors, the policy is not yet known.

Similarly, one of the security officers at the employee entrance area said that the obligation to show a COVID-19 vaccine certificate only applies to workers. The mall has not imposed mandatory COVID-19 vaccination for visitors.

“If visitors haven’t yet. The mall hasn’t opened all (tenant-), we follow government policy,” he said.

When visiting PIM, detik.com also not asked to show a certificate of COVID-19 vaccine. Apart from restaurants and supermarkets that sell daily necessities, no other shops are open yet.
