Car Owner Arrested
The owner of the stealth tank car has been detained by the police. The modified tank car that was used to suck up the fuel was also secured.
“The car and its owner have been secured, because they are suspected of hoarding diesel fuel using a car whose tank has been modified,” said Wadirreskrimsus Polda Sumsel AKBP Ferry Harahap when asked for confirmation. detik.com, Saturday (2/9/2021).
The police promised to take this alleged case seriously. He emphasized that the incident in the viral video was a deviant act and endangered residents around the gas station.

The police explained that the modified tank minibus and its owner, a woman with the initials SA (45) were arrested on Friday (1/10) at around 22.00 WIB. According to the police, the incident occurred at the Rupit gas station, Muara Rupit Village, Rupit District, on Thursday (30/9) at 10.00 WIB.
“He was arrested last night,” said Head of Muratara Police AKBP Eko Sumaryanto.
The owner of the car, SA, is still being investigated intensively at the Muratara Police Headquarters on suspicion of committing a crime. The police are also still investigating this case, including collecting all the evidence and confirming the different license plates of the car.
“Currently we are still investigating the SA, we have not named a suspect, we are still clarifying, collecting other evidence,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Muratara Police AKP Dedi Rahmad.
Muratara Police Station will investigate further to reveal the alleged hoarding of subsidized fuel by examining the gas station and Pertamina.
“We are still checking, Monday (4/10) the schedule for the Rupit gas station and then Pertamina,” explained Dedi.
