Mayor of Solo Gibran Rakabuming Raka join the conversation regarding online motorcycle taxi drivers (ojol) which is viral as a suspect Solo Police because of delivering a cardboard that turned out to contain alcohol. Gibran said the ojol was being questioned as a witness.
According to him, the incident related to the incident of an ojol driver who was caught carrying a package containing alcoholic beverages is part of the commitment and consistency of the Police in order to make Solo a livable, safe, comfortable, peaceful, cool and healthy city.
“As a follow-up, the online motorcycle taxi driver was then brought by a team of Spartan patrol officers to the Surakarta Police Headquarters for further investigation and investigation,” said Gibran in a written statement to reporters, Sunday (13/6/2021).
An inspection will be carried out on the alcoholic beverage seller and the capacity of the ojol driver in the event that occurred. After being questioned, the ojol driver was sent home that night from the Solo Police. The motorcycle taxi driver was also given a proof of receipt of evidence.
“From the results of the deepening and investigation carried out by officers, it was found that the online motorcycle taxi driver was only in the capacity as a courier service to deliver the buyer’s orders (the capacity of witnesses in the incident),” continued Gibran.

Evidence of alcoholic beverages brought by the online motorcycle taxi driver has been confiscated by the police. Responding to the post, Deputy Head of Solo Polresta AKBP Denny Heryanto said the party who brought the alcohol should be questioned. He admits he doubts if the driver ojol was made a suspect.
“The procedure is that anyone who brings alcohol must be questioned. This alcohol is a tipiring entry, if you say a suspect, I also doubt it,” he told AFP at the UNS Stadium, Solo, today.
