Abdul Rahman as Chairman of the DKM Al Amanah Mosque regarding the problem of misunderstanding. about the use of masks when worshiping in the mosque, “he said.

Agus explained that the incident started around 14.00 WIB, on April 27, 2021 when the victim and his family wanted to pray noon. However, the mosque administrator forbade the use of masks while inside the mosque.

During the mediation, the victim asked the mosque management to stop prohibiting the use of masks. According to him, all he did was to implement health protocols.

After mediating, the police then gave a warning to the mosque management. According to him, during the COVID-19 pandemic everyone must wear a mask.

“Previously, I had warned and appealed to the mosque management not to prohibit the congregation from wearing masks when praying, because we are currently in a pandemic situation,” he said.

Meanwhile, Abdul Rahman admitted that he had made a ban on the use of masks in mosques. He considers the mosque to be protected from the spread of the Corona virus.

“I have indeed implemented the regulation on the prohibition of masks in mosques because I do not want to equate mosques with markets and I believe that Allah SWT protects all of us who are in mosques. face mask inside the mosque because it is a rule set by the government in tackling the COVID-19 pandemic, “said Abdul Rahman as in a written statement by the police chief.

Following are the conclusions of the results of the media conducted by the police:

2. The DKM will no longer ban the use of masks in the Al Amanah Mosque.
