Viral DPRD members North Maluku (Malut) fraction Gerindra, Wahda Z Iman, hit the Traffic Police (Traffic Police) who was reprimanding him for parking on the shoulder of the road. Wahda was determined to hit the officers when he was blocked and asked to stop.
In the viral video, it appears DPRD members the police reprimanded those who were in the car. The police appeared to be wearing raincoats because of the drizzling conditions at the location.
DPRD members it then started the car and ignored it when the officer reprimanded. The car continued to run and the police tried to stop it by standing in front of the car with the license plate number DB-1314-MM.
Instead of stopping the vehicle, the DPRD member stepped on the gas. A resident seemed to pull the police who tried to hold the hood of the car so as not to escape.
Head of Public Relations of the North Maluku Police, Kombes Adip Rojikan, confirmed that the DPRD member was named Wahda Z Iman. Adip said that the incident took place in Ternate, Saturday (8/5) yesterday, around 17.10 WIT, on Jalan Kampung Pisang.
“There has been an action against the Traffic Police officers who are curbing illegal parking which is blocking traffic flow. One of the drivers of an Alpard 4-wheeled vehicle with the number DB-1314-MM was driven by Wahda Z. Imam,” said Adip when contacted on Sunday (9 / 5/2021).
Adip then explained the chronology of events. He said that at that time the officer reprimanded, Wahda parked his car which disturbed traffic conditions.
“An individual DPRD member was in a car and stopped at the side of the road which disturbed the smooth traffic. So that the Traffic Police members warned him to move but was ignored,” he said.
