TRIBUNSUMSEL.COM – A funeral ceremony held in a unique way has been controversial in the City of Diego Martin, State Trinidad.
A young man named Che Lewis (29) and his father, Adlay Lewis (54), were victims of murder at their home on November 25 yesterday.
The family then held a funeral ceremony for the father and son to pay their last respects.
However, the family did not want the funeral service to be carried out casually, especially for Che Lewis’s body.
Che’s body was taken to the church sitting on a chair after being embalmed, instead of being laid in a coffin.
Dressed in white trousers and a pink coat, Che was reportedly refused entry to the church because of the strange and unusual appearance of his corpse.
Videos and images circulating show the body of the murder victim sitting outside the church on chairs in a closed area, with many mourners unaware that the man had died.
Some visitors even berated him for not wearing a mask.
The funeral was broadcast online and attracted a lot of attention, although some viewers also did not realize that Che was the man in the chair.
Unlike Che, his father, Adlay was put in a coffin by the family.
