A video viral on Facebook shows the moment the man made the consent and shortly afterwards dropped the divorce on his wife. How’s the story?
The viral video was uploaded to Delian Lubis’ Facebook account on July 5, 2021. In a statement he wrote on Facebook, Delian said that the man had divorced the woman.
“Bune Laon to Bung Koceng Cina ee..tip kone au2 waura Talak batu,” he wrote in the language typical of the Bima tribe, NTB. Translated, it means: “How is it, bung Koceng, nothing has been done yet.”
Video uploaded by Delian Lubis and now viral it shows the moment the bride and groom have just carried out the marriage contract. The groom then led the bride who was wearing a pink dress to sit next to him.
From the video footage, it can be seen that the couple’s wedding was attended by quite a number of people. The marriage ceremony was held in the courtyard of the house in front of a simple decorated aisle.

When the bride and groom have sat together, the penghulu then asks the bride. The penghulu asked whether the bride wanted her husband to recite the sighat talik or not. Sighat itself is an agreement from the husband regarding the fall of divorce under certain conditions.
This question was answered briefly by the bride. “No,” he said as seen in the videotape. Penghulu then asked again to confirm the answer of the bride. And the answer of the woman in the pink hijab was still ‘no’.
After that, as seen in the video, the penghulu asked the groom to sign the marriage documents. But instead of signing, the man took the microphone and stood up. He also divorced his bride.
The word talak immediately made the man in batik shirt and blue mask emotional in front of the bride. The video later shows a fight taking place and the groom being hit.
Wolipop contacted Delian Lubis who uploaded the video to his Facebook account. Delian admitted that he got the video from his brother. He himself did not know the bride and groom.
“I’m posting it for fun with my friends,” said the man who lives in Mataram, NTB (West Nusa Tenggara) to Wolipop, Wednesday (7/7/2021).
Delian Lubis’s upload about the man who divorced his wife after the marriage contract was over viral redistributed by Facebook users more than 2,500 times. The video also garnered more than 800 comments. One of the netizens who commented said that the incident when a man divorced his wife after the marriage contract took place in Sumbawa, NTB.
