Malaysia –
It went viral again, the occupant of the rented house who ran away and left the dwelling in a condition that shocked the owner. The rented house was abandoned by the tenants without paying in a condition full of earthen waste and the stench of animal manure.
The condition of the rented house full of cat feces went viral after a property agent who checked the condition of the residence shared his story on TikTok. There is a man named Amri Najmin, a property agent who shows the condition of a house after being abandoned by a residential tenant the.
The person who rented the house was irresponsible and left the house in a neglected condition. At first Amri suspected that the house was dirty because of the flood.
“It turned out that it wasn’t because of the flooding, but that one house from the lower level to the upper level was filled with cat feces. The smell can’t be pronounced, it’s really rotten. If a rental house is full of garbage, it already smells, let alone this feces,” said Amri, who was confused by the sight the condition of his house, when interviewed by mStar.
The man who lives in Malaysia knows the tenant of the house has a cat. His tenants also often provide lodging for cats that are entrusted by their owners, aka cat hotels.
“They have been renting since 2018, at first it was okay. But after that a month or two were late in paying and until finally the pandemic lockdown period,” he explained.
After last year’s lockdown, Amri’s tenants did not pay rent for four months and electricity arrears have been growing. When Amri came to the house, it was locked.
“Ask the neighbors and they say the tenant has been gone for a long time since the beginning of the year,” said Amri, who has been managing the sale and purchase of land for about 10 years.
According to Amri, who is from Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Malaysia, neighbors often hear cats roaring because of hunger. “At that time there were still many cats in the house. Neighbors could not provide food because the house was locked while the tenants could not be contacted,” said Amri.
In his upload, Amri shows the condition of the sofa in the house where the tenants left it in a state of disrepair due to being scratched by a cat. The sofa and kitchen floors were covered in cat litter.
Amri was not only surprised to see cat litter. He even found a dead cat that had become a skull.
According to Amri, the owner of the house must replace all the furniture and the house left by the tenants. The cost spent on house repairs reached IDR 102 million.
“To the tenants of the house, take care of the house properly and responsibly. If not, it will give a bad impression because it makes the home owner emotional and loses money,” he concluded.
