Emergence video giant fish in Ranu Pakis, Klakah District, Lumajang, went viral. There is a myth that says the giant fish is the guardian of the lake.
The news was dismissed by one of the fishermen. The giant fish, according to him, fish in groups.
Ranu Pakis village fisherman Muhammad Idris Baidhowi said the image like a large fish that appeared in the video was actually not a giant fish as people imagined.
“Actually, the fish that went viral was a goldfish and it was followed by so many small fish that it looked like a big fish from above the lake,” said Ranu Pakis fisherman Muhammad Idris Baidhowi, quoted from detikJatimThursday (19/5/2022).
As seen in the approximately 1 minute video that went viral, the point of view of the shooting was indeed visible from above. At that time a number of residents gathered to witness it.
Moreover, said Baidhowi, when the video was shot, Lake Ranu Pakis was in a foggy state. According to him, this is what makes the school of fish look like giant fish.
