Speculation about her gender went viral on the Francophone section of French-language Twitter this week.
“French First Lady Brigitte Macron will file a lawsuit against the slander,” French media said, citing people from its inner circle, reported by RT.com on Monday (12/20/2021).

However, he has yet to provide an official comment on the matter.
Rumors online say the French first lady was born a man named “Jean-Michel Trogneux.”

The official biography states that she was given the name Brigitte Marie-Claude Trogneux and was born a girl.
French media said they had tracked down the slander, and said it first appeared in late September on the website Facts and Documents which specializes in far-right conspiracy theories.
