Arrival Son Heung-min with a flat face to the training ground Tottenham Hotspur viral on social media.
Reported from Sport Bible, Son returned to Tottenham for pre-season training ahead of the new season. However, the South Korean winger did not seem enthusiastic.
Son came to Tottenham headquarters with a relaxed look. He wore a t-shirt, shorts, and flip-flops. Son also briefly waved to someone who greeted him at the team’s North London office.
Son has been Tottenham’s mainstay alongside Harry Kane up front for the last few seasons. The last name was widely reported to be leaving for another club with Manchester City as the main interest.
Son managed to score 22 goals in all competitions last season. However, his performances were not enough to help Jose Mourinho avoid being sacked.
The Special One was sacked after various disappointing results achieved by Tottenham. Tottenham had appointed Ryan Mason as interim coach until the end of last season.
Son also regretted the sacking of Mourinho. Despite Tottenham’s poor performance, Son believes Mourinho is still one of the best coaches in the world.
“I think for me and my memory he will remain one of the best coaches in the world,” Son said.
Ahead of the new season, Tottenham’s management has agreed with former Wolverhampton Wanderers coach, Nuno Espirito Santo. The presence of Nuno Espirito is expected to change the fortunes of Tottenham, who could only finish seventh in the Premier League last season.
